In addition to the Teens Road Safety and Alcohol Harm Reduction campaigns, I have worked on many pieces of Government and COI business over the years including the Food Standards Agency, NHS, Connexions, Childcare Recruitment, LearnDirect, Fast-Track Teaching, Drink Driving, Road Tax Enforcement, and HMRC. Here are a few examples of TV work I have produced on these accounts.
Connexions was a walk-in guidance and support service for young people aged thirteen to nineteen.

The stumbling block was to get young people who needed the service to engage with it. The idea I chose to dramatise is, was that young people would be listened to rather than being lectured at.

Created at Leo Burnett, the film was a finalist at Cannes and was included in the D&AD annual.
This film was created at D'arcy for Childcare Recruitment.

In order to create the film my creative partner and I spent time ourselves in nurseries talking to pre-school children, about their ambitions and what they wanted to do and become. We then made a selection and turned them into rhyming couplets, making a poem. The children were shot on location in London and then came into a recording studio to record their lines.

This ad was the pitch-winning idea for LearnDirect, written while I was at RKCR/ Y&R.

The approach we took was to represent training or knowledge required as a missing jigsaw piece. And Learndirect would be able to help you become the complete candidate by helping you to fill it in.

Four years after the launch, more than 3.5m people had enrolled in Learndirect courses.
This is one of five 60-second spots that I wrote at HHCL for the Food Standards Agency. They were originally created as content to run every morning on GMTV during the week before Christmas.
The endframe was added later so the films could be posted on YouTube and social media.
